What Are the Treatments Under Restorative Dentistry?

• Fillings

When a tooth just has cavities because of tooth decay or another cause, fillings are good for restoring the internal structure and strength of the tooth.

• Bonding

Dental bonding is used when the damage to the tooth extends to its outer surface, unlike fillings that are used for internal damage. Composite resin is used to restore the shape of the tooth and is colored to match that tooth.

• Inlays and Onlays

Unlike fillings and bondings that are applied and shaped on the tooth itself, inlays and onlays are custom-made from previously made impressions before they are cemented on the treated teeth.
